In home line astrology, IC is the starting point for exploring private foundations. It stands for Imum Coeli, the angle opposite the MC. Astrological interpretations connect it with home, roots and family; CHANI's introduction to the angles explains that association. On your map, read the complete label, such as Moon–IC or Uranus–IC, rather than treating every IC line as the same promise of comfort.
Our location readings interpret Moon–IC through belonging and emotional grounding, Venus–IC through ease in private life, and Saturn–IC through responsibility and discipline. Uranus–IC points toward change around home; Neptune–IC can introduce uncertainty or blurred boundaries. These are different themes to investigate, even though all use the IC angle.

The current calculation places Uranus–IC about 4.6 km away, with a Strong distance-based signal. A second IC signal, Neptune–IC, is about 441.4 km away and classified as Wide.
Munich: Strong Uranus–IC signal; Weak Home support; High Home caution. The Home comparison includes both Uranus–IC and Neptune–IC among its cautions.
These labels answer different questions. Strong describes the proximity of a signal, while the Home assessment asks what the signal contributes to the selected goal. Here, the interpretations concern change around private life and uncertainty around boundaries. Moving closer to that line would not turn those themes into evidence of ease or emotional grounding.
For this person, a desire for predictable routines gives those cautions a practical role: they can investigate housing stability, shared-space expectations and the changes a move would involve. Bangalore's Moon–IC reading offers the clearest support for belonging in this three-city comparison, even though its listed line is farther away. Istanbul's Saturn–IC interpretation emphasizes responsibility, emotional weight and building over time. Its Light support gives this person less evidence for Home than Bangalore's Moderate result. Neither grade guarantees how daily life will feel.
Reading only the Low caution badge would also miss part of Istanbul's story. The explanation still raises the effort and duty associated with Saturn–IC. In home line astrology, use the grades and the written interpretation together: do you want a familiar base, or are you prepared for a home shaped by greater responsibility? Munich raises a different issue, with change and uncertainty prominent in its Home cautions.

Is home line astrology the same as an IC line?
Home line astrology describes the question about roots and private life. IC identifies an angle: each planetary IC line carries a different interpretation. On this map, examine the planet and distance, then use the Home goal in Compare Cities to assess a specific place.
Can home line astrology work without an exact birth time?
You can generate an estimated map, but its angular lines depend on the time supplied. An uncertain birth time can change which lines run near a city. Use it for limited exploration, and confirm the birth record before treating a small distance difference as meaningful.
Does a Strong IC line mean strong Home support?
No. Line strength reflects proximity, while Home support also depends on the planet and other relevant signals. In the calculated example, Munich has a Strong Uranus–IC signal but Weak Home support and High Home caution. Those labels answer different questions.
Is Saturn always a bad choice in home line astrology?
The interpretation emphasizes responsibility and discipline around private life. Istanbul receives Light Home support and Low Home caution in this example, while the Saturn–IC reading still describes emotional weight. Read the explanation alongside the grades and consider whether that theme matches what you want from a home.
What if my IC lines are far away or in the ocean?
